Christmas in Mexico

Feliz Navidad! We traded in our traditional white Christmas for sandy beaches and sunshine. We spent this Christmas vacation relaxing in Puerto Vallarta, and it was such a lovely place.

The resort was gorgeous and the meals were delicious.

We enjoyed the resort, spent time at the beach, and took a tour at the Malecon boardwalk. There were a bunch of cool sand sculptures and statues.

The pool was a great place for fun, and we had no shortage of vanilla milkshakes on this vacation.

Mom and Dad went on a romantic sail, while Justin and I hung out for the evening at the beach.

We took a boat ride one day, where we toured a village, admired the view, and went snorkelling.

We also did a dolphin encounter that was okay but not super cool, as well as ziplining – which was awesome with really pretty views.

Christmas Eve and Christmas were great. We used the little palm tree in our room as our Christmas tree, and Mom managed to find some weird little oranges for our stockings to keep our tradition going! It was weird to not be at home for Christmas, but I still loved being somewhere special with my family.

The staff at the resort were all so nice – they made our stay really enjoyable!

This guy does incredible finger paintings on tiles and plates, using just his fingers and nails to create such tiny, intricate details. We each went home with a couple beautiful paintings.
